Cognitive Hypnotherapy

Through my work as a nurse and counsellor, I became aware that not everything needed medical interventions or deep counselling work. There were some ‘conditions’ that could be treated with something else. I researched what this could be, and this brought me to Cognitive Hypnotherapy.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a specific type of hypnotherapy developed at the Quest Institute and is informed by many theories and practices. It uses Psychodynamic thinking with some NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and of course Hypnotherapy. I liked their individualized bespoke approach rather than the standard one-fits-all approach of other hypnotherapy colleges, so I trained with them.

Using Cognitive Hypnotherapy, I can help you with problems where a slower, deeper analysis is not required:

  • Anxiety – social, public speaking, giving presentations, interviews, exams...
  • Phobias.
  • Stopping habits such as smoking or nail biting.
  • Improving confidence.
  • Chronic pain management.

Most things can be managed within 4- 6 weekly sessions, with 1 or 2 follow up sessions later.

If you think this approach will help you to overcome whatever it is you're struggling with, then do contact me so I can help you.
